All Year 12 and 13 students need to report to the School Hall on Wednesday 31st January 2018 at the following times to confirm their subjects for this year:
9.00am – 10.00am: Surnames A – L
10.00am – 11.00am: Surnames M – Z
Parents are most welcome to come with their child on this day, if they wish. Staff will endeavour to see students accompanied by parents as quickly as possible.
The purpose of this process is:
- Ensuring students have met the pre-requisites for the subjects they have chosen and where they haven’t, selecting an alternative subject.
- Addressing any timetable related subject clashes.
- Distribute student timetables for 2018.
Students will need to bring with them their NCEA examination results. Results will not be posted by mail, so students will need to access them on-line at www.nzqa.govt.nz. Students who are unable to print a copy of their results will need to go to the school office first and request a copy.
On the day students will collect a Course confirmation form which they will need to get signed off by the Head of Department for each of their subjects.
Attending this day will help to ensure a productive and organised start to the academic year. If you are unable to attend during this time, we would appreciate you calling the school office, (Phone number: 75 12416) so that the year level Dean can arrange a suitable appointment time.
Students who do not complete this process will not have a confirmed timetable/programme of study and may miss out on a place in restricted courses.
If your child decides not to return to Spotswood College in 2018, could you please contact the school office by phone or by email (email@example.com). The office opens on Monday 29th January.
We look forward to seeing you and/or your child on this day.
